Curator · for businesses on Sonos

The Sonos Pro dashboard, without the Sonos Pro bill.

Every location on one screen. An approved library only you control. Schedules by zone and hour, and a guard that takes a speaker back when a phone hijacks it. $19–39 a location instead of $35–70 — because we never sell you music. Spotify, Apple Music, or any commercial service you already hold.

The pitch, in one sentence

We don't sell music. We make the music you already pay for easy to manage.

Sonos Pro bundles remote management with its own licensed catalogue — you pay for both whether you want their music or not. Curator unbundles it: connect the commercial service you already have a license with, and pay only for the management layer on top.

The monitoring layer is real and running.

It's the same monitoring stack the office product runs on — proven on office Sonos, extended to every location.

  • An approved library, and play-this-now

Only what the administrator approves is offered on the dashboard — start it right now, on any zone, at the volume you choose, or by schedule. Staff never pick.

  • Every location, one screen

Group your locations and see them together: which speakers are answering, what's playing where, what needs attention, and which schedule is running. Open any one to change it.

  • Zones and schedules

Name the speakers, then tell each zone what to play by weekday and hour — from the approved library, shuffled if you like, at its own volume — or go quiet or off. Switch a schedule off without losing it; give a holiday one an end date.

  • Every speaker's health, live

Which speakers are answering, what each one is playing and whether it's up to date — the same monitoring the office product runs on.

  • Alerts when something breaks

A location goes offline, a speaker drops off, volume past the ceiling — sent to whoever's on call.

  • Remote restart

Restart a speaker at any location without sending anyone over.

  • An audit log

Who changed what, when, across every location. Exportable.

  • Guard mode

An employee's phone takes a store speaker during scheduled hours? The zone takes it back, tells the manager, and stops after three rounds an hour so nobody's fighting a machine.

  • Standardize

Set up the flagship once, then make every other location like it — zones by room name, schedules, ceilings, alert rules.

In development

What turns this into a full Sonos Pro replacement.

  • A public API

For the building-automation and AV-integrator tools (Crestron, Lutron, Control4, Home Assistant) that already talk HTTP.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Do you sell licensed commercial music?
No. Connect the service you already use — Spotify, Apple Music, Soundtrack Your Brand, Qsic, Rockbot, whichever — and Curator manages the speakers and the schedule around it. Sonos Pro can only bundle its own catalogue; Curator works with any of them.
Do I need new hardware?
Use your existing compatible Sonos speakers. Current setup also needs a computer that stays on at each location: install the Hivequeue app, sign in, and choose the location. After setup, managers use the browser dashboard to oversee their locations.
Can my customers or employees add songs or vote?
No. This product has no queue, no voting and no public add link — that's Hivequeue, a different product for a different kind of room. Curator is manager-only: you set the schedule and the zones, and that's what plays.
Is this available yet?
Zones, schedules, the all-locations view, speaker health, alerts, remote restart, guard mode, standardize and the change log are real and running today. The public integrations API is still in the works. Starting an approved item from the dashboard reaches the speakers over the Sonos cloud connection, which is rolling out location by location. Open the console with your existing account, or tell us about your locations and we'll reach out when the rest is ready.
