Free for the room. Premium for everyone who isn't in it.
Small offices use Hivequeue free, forever โ the whole jam, not a trial. Pay when the company grows past 5 people, or when you want people working from home to follow office Spotify tracks.
Free
For one room and the people in it.
- Up to 5 people in the office
- Unlimited Hives, unlimited songs
- Paste any Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal or Deezer link
- Round-robin so nobody hogs the queue
- Vote from Slack, boo tracks off the speakers
- Daily scoreboard, history and profiles
- TV mode, quiet hours, volume ceiling, host controls
- The bridge, and every update to it
Premium
One price for the whole office, however many people are in it.
Tune in from anywhere
People working from home link their own Spotify Premium account, choose a device, and follow office Spotify tracks within a couple of seconds. The ๐ง button on every Slack post, and the panel in the Hive.
Unlimited members
Past 5 people, the office keeps taking anyone who follows the link โ desk, home, contractor, the new hire on day one.
Everything in Free
Same queue, same votes, same scoreboard, same bridge. Premium adds reach; it doesn't take anything away.
Billed to the office owner. Cancel any time; the office drops back to Free, and keeps every play in its history.
What Premium actually changes
Two things. Everything else is identical on both plans, and always will be.

Questions about the money
- Who counts as a member?
- Anyone with an account in your office โ whether they joined from a Hive link, your invite link, or by reacting in Slack. It is a headcount, not a per-seat charge: Premium is one flat price for the whole office however many people are in it.
- What happens when a free office hits 5?
- Everyone already in stays in, and everything keeps working. The next person to open the link is told the office is full until the owner upgrades. Removing someone in Settings frees the spot.
- Why is Tune in the paid feature?
- It is the part that costs us something to run: Hivequeue keeps every remote listener's device lined up with office Spotify tracks, checking and correcting continuously for as long as they are tuned in. It is also the part worth paying for if half your company is at home.
- Do remote listeners each need to pay?
- Not us โ one office subscription covers everyone. They do each need their own Spotify Premium account, because Spotify only lets apps control playback on Premium. Hivequeue never streams the office's audio; your device plays the same track from your own account.
- Can I try Premium before paying?
- Yes. If someone sent you a beta code, the office owner pastes it into Settings โ Plan and the whole office gets Premium with no card and no checkout. That is how we hand the paid features to testers.
- How do I cancel?
- From the Stripe billing portal linked in Settings, any time. The office drops back to Free at the end of the period: everyone keeps their account and their history, Tune in switches off, and nobody new can join past 5 until you upgrade again.
Still deciding? Ask us โ or just set it up free and see whether the office likes it.
